Full Circle #2
Full Circle #2

ay your Circle remain unbroken
The love I’ve stored my lifetime thru
To share with someone, maybe you.
I want one now that will last
Not like what happened in the past
First friends, then lovers, then onto worse
Death only could part us, said the wedding verse
A lifelong bond is what I had planned,
Milestones of life to face hand in hand.
Joined at first by the power of her lust
In hopes we’d grow to love and to trust
Life tested our love in fierce stormy weather
Each trial we faced should’ve pulled us together
Two separate souls, could they come together
Bound heart to heart, together forever.
The bond was saved when our first child came
I prayed his arrival would light a new flame.
Pained memories grew and as the years past
The question arose, how long can this last?
And alas my friend, something altered our paths
That once whole person is now just two halves
I’m moving forward now looking for "you"
Will you be the one I’m looking to?
But know what I’m after right from the start
First friend then lover then a place in your heart.
