Life Should Be More Simple
Life Should Be More Simple
By Chuck McGlawn Chuckest@aol.com
Life should be more simple
It would ease our stress
Then choosing right from wrong
Wouldn’t have to be a guess
If life were more simple
We wouldn’t be pleasing our eyes
Let’s reverse that paradigm
Where what’s inside’s the prize
Why can’t life be more simple?
We’d live more like we please
Then to make a simple purchase
We wouldn’t need two IDs
I cast a vote for a simpler life
Then folks could relate
And if your date at first said “yes”
You wouldn’t be charged with rape
If life were just more simple
Then we wouldn’t have to race
To keep up with the Jonses’
And live at a comfortable pace
