    Poem Commentary

    Hello. I give 3 reviews per week, sometimes more, but never less. (not affiliated with this website of course). You will automatically get a 10 from me, but in exchange I will thrash your poem and pull it like taffy (a good, clean, fun, pulling). Please remember, I am judging the poem, the speaker in the poem,... not you the Poet. My opinion can only be swayed by good reasoning. Yes, I can change my mind. So good luck. You got your Ten. I am not trying to win any popularity contests! PS A Haiku poetic response to your poem is also provided. The title will include something from your title, so it will be easy to find.     Maybe we can have a group of us all doing this same thing and call ourselves, "The Poem Pirates" (continue the island theme)? It is just a thought, and really requires no organization, other than committment (and even then, who would know you skipped a week?)... think it over, let it marinate.

    I love your Poem Pirates idea... and so like your critiques, even when they are harsh. I really, really appreciate it when anyone jams a pin in my bubble of perfection and I find I need more polishing... and to be honest, since you do thrive on a candid tone... I'll admit that I have an entire arsenal of bullets for three poems I've found (of which, I decided to walk away), otherwise, I was planning to take them to the annual Mayberry skeet shoot and rip those puppies to shreds and then feed them to my piranhas. But I am a coward... you are not... and really, we need good critiques, like yours... to help us write. Ok now, I did not come here begging scraps of comments from your table of wise, and if Really so, maybe I should have worn a disguise then... but it has been so obvious, who we all are, that there is really no use tying to hide... Why, do you know I once played an online game and mathematically figured out how to whap the system and so created nearly 395 yahoo account names and was to wear the Sybil crown for 5 months.... bad susan

    On Sunday morning (or so), I'll search for 3 poems if there is no one on the list. I am easy. If you want a poem read with respect and misinterpretaion, I am the man. Just ask me to review your poem. It is direct, but I won't say no. You get a 10. I get full freedom to analyze your poem. I have started as list, and will just start at the top.

    You leave good comments, I've seen you ... whapping lightning bolts all over this OP place... you are quite striking with good critique hits, giving a good electricity zap. ,, and you have gumption and you wear it suave, with class. Mostly, good poem, real message.

    Thanks! I have to be a bit more respectful than I was on the "Poetry Survivor Island" game. Only because I truly feel that every poem has a silver lining in it somewhere. To find it, is the adventure...

    Sounds like a horribly traumatic experience... and one I'm DEFINITELY game for :) Feel free to rip any of my poems apart and know that I'll value any critique you care to offer.
