    Why do some attack "fat" people. Everyone should be free to live in America no matter their color, size, shape or gender. Just let me be free, and I will extend to you the same courtesy.

    my daughter is fat and black. somehow her mother and i made her secure ( enough ) to endure the cruelty that she sometimes faces in a predominantly white community. my daughter is an amazing artist and person at the tender age of nineteen.

    I am glad you mention this. I wasn't always fat. But now that I am (and admitting it like it is suppose to be a bad thing), I know what it is like to be attacked. I know the underlying tones. I know when subjects are avoided. And I know something else too... I never knew what it was like to be fat until I became it. I will never know what a black person faces in a white community because I can never become that. But I do have a better understanding...

    When I was a little girl, my Dad got mad at me for making fun of a fat girl. The thing is, I was mad at HIM for correcting me. I couldnt understand why others were alowed to make fun...but I wasnt. Now of course I understand.
