    Poem Commentary

    I prefer shorter poetry, as long as the meaning is completely conveyed.  And it's usually not, no matter how many words we use.  I guess it's a "human" thing.

    Scare Me

     

    And they took to the streets

    All yelling for treats.

    Hours ago, before days' depart

    No one imagined, the right time to start

    Reminds me of being a little kid in Minnesota. We could stay out late and fill our pillow cases with candy and did not have to worry about being abducted. My brother was very strategic in his plan to trick or treat. I was not. Thanks for the memory. Your poem brought a smile to my face.
