    Poem Commentary

    I did not know how to approach this. I write a lot of song lyrics, mainly "hooks". It is not quite the same as poetry, but it sure can be interesting. I hope other's will help add, take away, change, and use the lyrics I present. Maybe we can make a small team of songwriters here, just for poetic amusement, and see what happens?

    is there really a difference between poetry and lyrics? I think not, true poetry, like true music speaks to the hearts and souls of man. I don't think all lyrics are poetry but then again not all poems are true poetry either, ponder that anology, lol. Lyric or poem, nice flow and rhymic measure! Purity of the soul, journey well!!!     I can write something today, and tomorrow it is forgotten. I guess I am one of those unfortunate people who are thinking of what to say next, while the other guy is talking. As for this song, it does not look as good this week, as it did when I put it down...

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
