Conciousness swiftly follows
the rabbit down the hole
like darkness swallows light
my mind insanity stole
my heart beats furiously
with anxious mental clatter
with the wasted energy
of the crazy mad hatter
i make my way alone
through the twisting mazes
of my restless dreams
and delirious crazes
as i run from myself
trying to find a safe palace
i can’t remember my name
but they keep calling me alice
i feel like i’m falling
and it’s only the beginning
as i land in the web
the talking spider is spinning
i dreamily gaze around me
i am now on a farm
with wilbur below me
then i hear my alarm
i open my eyes slowly
there’s hay in my bed
and a chesire’s smile
in the darkness in my head
i have a story to tell
an adventure to behold
with every nightmare is
a new fairy tale told
