A New Season
as i look into your eyes
the truth does falter never
when you whisper that you love me
each day is a less endeavor
you give me strength because of yours
no arms or fists can equal
as closets open and cobwebs clear
each night less a nightmare sequel
skeletons rattle then turn to ash
but you see me lovely still
you wipe my tears and kiss my cheek
as i blow dust off the window sill
you hold my hand like it is my heart
and know each moment we should savor
the wind may blow and time may go
but each day is a new flavor
it’s your love for my wilted soul
that our hearts grow a blossom new
like a spring that rains and summer blooms
a new season each day with you
the truth does falter never
when you whisper that you love me
each day is a less endeavor
you give me strength because of yours
no arms or fists can equal
as closets open and cobwebs clear
each night less a nightmare sequel
skeletons rattle then turn to ash
but you see me lovely still
you wipe my tears and kiss my cheek
as i blow dust off the window sill
you hold my hand like it is my heart
and know each moment we should savor
the wind may blow and time may go
but each day is a new flavor
it’s your love for my wilted soul
that our hearts grow a blossom new
like a spring that rains and summer blooms
a new season each day with you
