    Fantasy

Have you ever had a fantasy
    That really could never be

    One that you knew
    Could never come true

Like dancing in the warm rain
With nothing at all to gain

Or what about laying in the park
Looking at the stars in the dark

Or what about laying in a grassy field all alone
Forgetting everything bad you’d ever known

Or what about walking along the beach
With all your worries just out of reach

I wish that these were real for me
I can’t imagine how nice it would be

But without a dream what is there
A dream is the only thing you don’t share

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
