    WONDERING

I wonder if you think of me
Or if you forgot that easily

Does my name ever come to mind
Or could you really be so unkind

How much I cared you will never know
Because I was scared of letting it show

I tried not to love you but failed horribly
I should have listened to your warning

The blame is not just mine of course
You did ride in on that white horse

I was the perfect damsel in distress
And you rescued my heart with such finesse

I miss waking up laying next to you
And long to hear you call me Boo

I miss your smell on my pillow case
And how you always made my heart race

I miss your friendship most of all
Now who will catch me when I fall

I know that I can live without you
But only if I absolutely have to

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
