New Start II
My new start is going fine,
A different life is finally mine.
At first we had nothing to cook our meals,
And I had to test my decorating skills.
Kitchen is fixed and looks great,
I was amazed at what we could create.
It’s pretty cool living with dad,
But I do miss home just a tad.
School and work fill up my days,
My life has changed in many ways.
I have everything that I need,
And am working hard to succeed.
I made friends faster than I thought I would,
Faster than I ever thought I could.
Colt is the very best,
Meeting him finished my quest.
Every day brings something new,
Something else to get used to.
Change is in everyone’s heart,
And we all could use a new start.
