For Heaven's Sake
In darkness
Did I wander far
On foot
Trains and planes
And in my car
To places seekers often go
To learn
To burn
To truly know
Why God did make and place us here
And why we had to shed each tear
And chrysalis
That would not cling
To what makes chosen spirits king
The part of us we cannot fake
Ignore or shake
For heaven's sake
