    Pain

    When one is hurt by God to learn

    Remember

    What we get we earn

    Like swats from dad when we were kids

    For manifesting hidden ids

     

    So when we now encounter pain

    Think back on when we were insane

    When hurting others was our way

    For reasons Satan said to say

     

    When all we thought of was ourselves

    And putting others on their shelves

    Pointing fingers with our pride

    Disregarding tears they cried

     

    Pledging love

    Then losing touch

    Wondering why we wept so much

    Talking more than listening

    Never giving them a ring

     

    Suffering is how we start

    To learn what’s on our Father’s heart

    Like thoughts beyond the human brain

    Where deep within we feel God’s pain
