    Star Crossed

    Joyfully

    Wonderfully

    Wisdom works her perfect skill

    Joining lovers to strangers

    In the blessed protection of God's perfect will

     

    Happily

    Deliberately

    She mystifies the eyes of peace

    While her chosen feast upon the bliss sustained

    And smiled onto the tapestry of love's grace

     

    Classically

    Patiently

    We contemplate the longings and mishaps en route

    Carefully pondering the whys and wherefores

    Highs and care fors

    Which are the essence of love's truth

     

    Painstakingly

    Unflinchingly

    Wisdom translates herself into love's covenant

    That two such as we may share God's purpose

    And live for the rare privilege bestowed

    When words can no longer speak the intimacy

    Only star crossed lovers are permitted to know
