To my daughter II

To my daughter II

If I die without a will
dear daughter
don't cry for my tragic life
I have been celebrating each day as glorious gift
God has given an unworthy mother
an Angel as darling as you

If I die without a will
dear daughter
don't bury me in the lonely grave
sprinkle my ashes over mountain rivers
return me to mother earth
produce nutrients to nurture you

If I die without a will
dear daughter
don't regret the arguments and fights
the endless tears and constant cries
our laughter still largely out-numbered
what I cherish are your growths and milestones

If I die without a will
dear daughter
don't fear for loneliness
my spirit is always with you
you can hear me through nature's whisper
knowing your mother always loves you

Forever

Very beautifully written, Susan. The last two lines of your first stanza really hit home hard for me. I love this poem. Thank you for sharing. 10 from me.

Beautiful sentiment to your beloved child with earthly eternal love. Very nicely spoken.

To me, this is one of the greatest poems I've ever read. Loved every word. When its my time to go, I would love to have my ashes spread throughout the mountains. I am in awe of your writing. Very well done.
