I want to say good-bye when you die

I want to say good-bye when you die
sorrowful tears shall be dry (or drier)

I want to say good-bye when you die
ugly scares might be easier to hide (never easy)

I want to say good-bye when you die
so I can stop forever asking you why (no answer)

I want to say good-bye when you die
to ease your pains and close your eyes......

Your experiences are so sad. I don't know what is for you or some one else but you say it well......

This was great. I love the very last stanza of this poem. It has come to me so many times and I always feel more of a closing if I say good bye when one dies.

Simply realistic. Saying hello is easier said and with a smile, but to say good-bye alwasy brings pain and sorrows. Great job!

Brillant job! You were able to encapulate the horrific farewell we at times give to someone who is at their final stages in this life. Although I believe in reincarnation and reject the notion of death one can't help feel pain when one travels to another dimension.

Thanks for your kind words and valuable advise. Read on, many more to come. Sincerely, Susan

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
