    A Broken Man

                           Broken Man

Keep aside your fights with ex-wives
no need to reveal to others who have no bear
    bitter quarrels sadden even strangers
painful baggage heavier than any measure

You declare ending loud and clear
"I'm so ready to move on" you often swear
but wounded heart fills with anguish and despair
a broken man desperately calling major repairs

This piece's content speaks volumes of unwritten meaning...

having been ther.e..I really can relate to this poem. Men must accept their feeling side and realize it does not take away...but adds to their validity. good writing.

As a man I feel obligated to say we feel no pain or insecurities. (But some how you found them any way and expressed them lol). Very nice piece.

This write brings out a poetic justice of a man who still grieves with pain. Wonderful

Wow! Susan, this is a great poem. You convey the insecurities of men, very well throughout! I like the sharpphrases that you have used to compose this piece! A 10 from me!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
