Yellowstone
Tired, nerve shakingdrained, love sickening
escaped from New York City
arrived at Jackson Hole, Wyoming
happily alone
refreshed in Divine mountain
Elks, deers, bison, horses and moose
I loved them all dearly
crystal view cleared away sadness
fireplace welcomed me home
I caught myself singing melodies
no one heard
Giant moose running down ski slope
I skied with him side by side
others scattered away in commotion
I said softly "Hi"
a note pad I bought from Meggy Moose
"Things I moose do" is having fun, I wrote
Driving snowmobile from Jackson Hole to Yellowstone in snowstorm
100 miles wild ride I heard strange tales of horror
why I was still humming cheerful tone
hot springs, frozen rivers, splashing falls
mysterious geysers, Old Faithful
nature restored soul, healed wound
Kevin the youngest in the tour to Yellowstone
kissed me and whispered "I love you"
his sweetness filled my void
I returned to New York renewed, inspired
a poet I became
all for Yellowstone
