    MR. SUN

    Feb, 2010
    Just where are you Mr. Sun?
    I hardly remember your glow.
    As I look out, all I see;
    Is the drifting of fallen snow.
    Where is your warmth, Mr. Sun?
    I truly miss your warming rays.
    All I feel, when you aren't here;
    Is the chill of a graying day.
    Where have you gone, Mr. Sun?
    Did you pack up and go away?
    I despair, when you aren't here;
    Have you left me and gone to stay?
    Come back to me, Mr. Sun.
    Don't you miss me, when you're away?
    No one loves you, as I do;
    Please come back, Mr. Sun, to stay.

    I wish Mr Sun would return too; I know this poem resonates with many, especially those who suffer with SAD...seasonal affective disorder here out east, wow when Mr. Sunshine goes into hiding it can make a person feel a little cloudy...great write Sunshine...LOL

    I know just how you feel. It can really get to you. At the time I wrote this, we were having even more rainy days than sunny days. We live in a small community by the lake and it looked like we would soon have lake side property. LOL I told my husband to not be depressed. This could increase our property value by having lakeside property. LOL

    Oh I love you're sense of humor; see now how special is that when one is able to look on the sunny side of life even when the sun isn't shinning...great job...LOL. I love it when folks can find the sunshine and silver-linning even among the clouds...LOL

    thank you so much, Secretdreams. It's funny that that poem really doesn't fit our situation today. God answered my prayers and Mr. Sun decided to shine and now he is really overdoing it. LOL We are having 3 digit numbers of heat all week this week. LOL I don't want to complain, because at the time I wrote that poem, Mr. Sun was sure hiding. If I ask him to ease up, we will probably have day after day of rain again. I've decided to leave the weather up to God. He knows what He is doing. LOL

    This is so lovely and innocent as a sweet child that says the most precious and thought moving comments, amazing and moving a parent to the beauty of childlike wonder. Full of tender refrains...gentle and sweetly amusing... I simply love it's simplicity. What a pure pleasure to read.. thank you my gifted friend..U have truly inspired and blessed my evening with this lovely piece of art...don't laugh, but the other night I was watching old Shirley Temple movies and they leave one feeling so contented...this poem was like that for me beloved...thanks again peacefully.. a 10 and a fav for me.."SpiritSong"

    Thank you so very much, Tina, I too love Shirley Temple movies. I love the feel good feeling of watching them also. My Mr. Sun poem was very heartfelt. LOL I suffer so with the cold and the rain in my body and the rain was just coming in torrents and the rain would no sooner be almost dried up in the ditch out front and here would come some more. We moved to the lake back in Sept of last year and just this month is the first month that the rain finally dried up in the ditch, well that is for about 2 days. Then yesterday, we had a gentle rain all day and night. That wasn't so bad because it had time to soak into the ground better. Just thought I would share with you why my poem was really so heart felt. LOL
