My Future Vows
You opened my eyes.
You opened my heart.
You helped me spread my wing,
Right from the start.
You never tried to chain me.
I am still free.
You have never had me bound or gaged.
I remain me.
But me is now we,
And we are now one.
You are the other half of my soul,
And our life together has begun.
I take you now,
And I take you forever.
You are my life,
From this day forward.
I pledge you my heart,
And I take yours into my keeping.
I shall cherish it and protect it,
And do all I can to make you happy.
