I heard a rumor,
And it pained my heart,
To know that you were forgotten,
On the day that represents your start.
So I have decided to give you this card,
To show you someone does care.
So even though this card is late,
I hope it still brings you cheer.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
