The Water's Song
The water flows down the stream;
Washing away this vision like a dream.
It makes me think hard and long
Back before I heard the water’s song.
This place was completely dry
Until the first time I saw you cry.
Your tears ran through my heart and soul
And the dryness of my eyes paid the toll.
I couldn’t bear it anymore
Because I was in pain to my inner core.
My tears came rolling down;
They fell so fast I thought I would drown
In my sorrow and pain.
My life felt like it was going down the drain.
My love for you really grew that night
Because we survived our first fight
The yells and screams echoed through my ears
And it all ended with tears.
These tears washed away the past
Because it was so close to our last.
Everything almost ended
Because you were offended.
Now we can make this last
And let go of the past
Because the water’s song led to our tears,
Washing away all our fears.
My tears came rolling down;
They fell so fast I thought I would drown
In my sorrow and pain.
My life felt like it was going down the drain.
My love for you really grew that night
Because we survived our first fight
The yells and screams echoed through my ears
And it all ended with tears.
These tears washed away the past
Because it was so close to our last.
Everything almost ended
Because you were offended.
Now we can make this last
And let go of the past
Because the water’s song led to our tears,
Washing away all our fears.
