    Come Here

Come here and place your weary head
upon this pillow saved for you
and rest a while with me instead
of toiling long past twilight's dew.

Come here and I will sing the song
that calls you back from where you roam
and helps you find your way along
the darkened path that leads you home.

Come here and let me hold you tight
and offer you sweet bread and wine
to ease your hunger through the night
until you wake from sleep divine.

Come here with me inside this place
    and stay abiding evermore
where dreams are kept in love's embrace
and hope is seen through heaven's door.
