    You Chose To Love Me

    You chose to love me
    in silence,
    for in silence
    you found no rejection.
    You chose to love me
    in my loneliness,
    for in my loneliness
    no one owns me, but you.
    You chose to love me
    when I was
    unlovable;
    you held me close
    when I tried to
    run away.
    You chose to open
    your heart to let
    in the healing,
    for only with healing
    can a pure love begin.
    You chose to love me.

    Anita; So many know or will know the feelings you have so skillfully put together. This poem makes me sad, I wish I could do something for you, for me and everyone else. You so aptly describe a part of the human condition. I don't usually save "Chick Poems" LOL, JK , but this is definitely a keeper. It's like a real good book where you can read something and feel something and then go back later and feel something else all together. : o )
