    Even After All This Time

    Even after all this time
    I remember the touch
    of your hands. I remember
    the love that we shared and
    my heart still cries for you.
    There’s a void in my soul
    that cannot be filled, although
    God knows I’ve tried.
    Too soon we went
    our separate ways, far
    from each other’s lives.
    Now all that’s left are the
    memories and how
    much I miss you and me,
    even after all this time.

    it is simple to understand and conveys the message quite well, such heartfelt angst

    I like the use of metaphores. I like how the imagery come in when you say my soul can not be filled. I picture it like a glass that has been broken on the bottom and can no longer be filled.
