    Eternal Stars

Eternal stars that hang from heaven’s floor
invite me with their radiance and fire
to search the sky to find the hidden door
when opened will reveal one’s true desire.

With beauty far beyond some ancient plain
of drifting dust in never-ending space,
they beckon with the sounds of sweet refrain
to those who seek to find forgiving grace.

With light and hope forever burning strong,
my thoughts around me are transfixed in time.
The dream of following the piper’s song,
awakened by the sounding of the chime.
