The Painful Truth
OUCH! ow-ee, ow-ee, ow-ee, OW,
will someone please just tell me how
this happened to me? Whew! it's true;
it's set me back, can't wear my shoe.
The doctor said, "your ankle's sprained"
or was it that he thinks it's strained?
"Here, wear this brace and keep it propped
up higher, so the swellings stopped".
"Don't try to walk, so it can heal;
you'll be amazed, the pain you'll feel".
Hey, Doc, I think I need a script
to ease the throb of where I slipped.
"Oh, no", he said, "you'll be just fine,
so kick back with a glass of wine,
an ice pack, and some TLC;
yes, that's the plan, don't you agree"?
"Before you go, please pay my $$ fee $$;
it's thousands; all the tests, you see,
and my advice is worth a mint;
you understand, it's time well spent"....
OUCH!! ow-ee, ow-ee, ow-ee, OW,
will someone please just tell me how
it costs so much? Whew! yes, it's true,
it's set me back; hope I pull through!
