    To The One I Love

To wake each morning, you here by my side,
it feels as if we’ve always been this way.
I listen to you breathe and watch you sleep.
My love for you grows stronger everyday.

You taught me what it’s like to really love
and lifted heavy shadows from my eyes.
The safest place I know is in your arms.
You gave my heart its wings and now it flies.

If I should have just one more day with you,
I’d make a day unlike you’ve had before.
We’d ride the carousel at least ten times,
then take the plane and fly along the shore.

Let's live each day as if it is our last,
and grab the ring as we go spinning past.
