How Does It Feel?
You reach for me but I’m not there
someone you thought would always care.
The one who’s left you on your own;
now you must go on if you dare.
How does it feel when you still love
the one you thought would always share,
whose dreams you cut through with that knife
that sears your soul and leaves it bare.
You reach for me but I’m not there
were you not sure or unaware
of what our love had meant to me?
Now there is nothing to compare.
How does it feel when you still love
and nothing’s left that’s close to real.
You’re on your own, just this from me,
So tell me, dear, how does it feel?
