    My Home

My house is more than just a house,
    It is a loving home
    Built of faith and sacrifice,
Not made of steel or chrome.
    There are no fancy fixtures
    Or expensive housewares there.
There is just a quiet place to sit
    With love filling the air.
If a house is filled with truth,
And trust, and faith, and love,
You can be sure it is a home
    Built by the Lord above.
For God alone has blest this home
    With love as a foundation,
That we may pass it down with pride
    To the coming generations.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
