    Spring

MOTHER NATURE HAS DONE IT AGAIN,
SHE HAS PAINTED A BRAND NEW SCENE.
SHE ERASED THE FLUFFY WHITE BLANKET,
AND BRUSHED IN A CARPET OF GREEN.
HER TEARS ARE NO LONGER ICY WHITE DROPS
THAT PLACED DIAMONDS ON THE TREES,
BUT NOW ARE MOISTURE LADEN TEARS
    FLOATING ON A GENTLE BREEZE.
THE VICIOUS WIND, THAT NIPPED OUR FACE,
HAS BEEN PUT AWAY FOR SPRING,
TO MAKE WAY FOR THE BLOOMING FLOWERS,
    AND BIRDS THAT GAILY SING.
    THE DAYS ARE GETTING LONGER,
AT THIS WELCOME TIME OR YEAR,
AND WE ARE ALL SO THANKFUL
    THAT SPRING IS FINALLY HERE.!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
