Walk By The Sea
WE WALKED THERE BY THE SEASHORE
AS THE WAVES CAME ROLLING IN,
SOMETIMES TALKING,SOMETIMES SILENT,
JUST ME AND MY FRIEND.
WE TALKED OF THINGS I’D SAID AND DONE
THAT HAD HURT THOSE I HELD DEAR.
HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME,
AND GENTLY DREW ME NEAR.
HE ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL SO GOOD,
FOR HIS ARMS WERE BIG AND STRONG
AND WHEN HE PUT THEM AROUND ME,
I KNEW NOTHING COULD GO WRONG.
HE SAID THAT TROUBLES WERE LIKE SAND
ALONG THE MASSIVE SHORE,
AND ONCE THE OCEAN SIFTED THEM,
THEY WERE THERE NO MORE.
WE TALKED ABOUT THE HAPPY TIMES
AND THEN HE TOOK HIS HAND
AND BUILT A GREAT SAND CASTLE
OF MY JOYS , THERE IN THE SAND.
I LAID DOWN ALL THE THINGS IN LIFE
THAT CAUSED SUCH PAIN FOR ME,
JUST THEN A WAVE CAME ROLLING IN
AND WASHED THEM OUT TO SEA
SUCH JOY I FEEL EACH TIME I THINK
OF THOSE DAYS BESIDE THE SEA,
WITH MY FRIEND WALKING HAND IN HAND
JUST JESUS AND ME.
AS THE WAVES CAME ROLLING IN,
SOMETIMES TALKING,SOMETIMES SILENT,
JUST ME AND MY FRIEND.
WE TALKED OF THINGS I’D SAID AND DONE
THAT HAD HURT THOSE I HELD DEAR.
HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME,
AND GENTLY DREW ME NEAR.
HE ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL SO GOOD,
FOR HIS ARMS WERE BIG AND STRONG
AND WHEN HE PUT THEM AROUND ME,
I KNEW NOTHING COULD GO WRONG.
