Reaching Out
The undying love of a woman
Toward the man she loved so dear
Fades in outward signs she shows
In these trying, awkward years.
Eternally the embers glow
Inside a soul so dead
Though outwardly the body's cold
Where once the love did tread.
It only takes a little spark
To set this love on fire,
But I cannot sit back and wait
For what my heart deires.
I wish you could break down the wall
And share your love with me,
For I would gladly promise you
My love eternally.
If you ever hope to be a man
And have a loving wife,
You must be truthful with yourself
And lead an honest life.
A coward builds his life around
Dishonesty and lies
He never knows true peace of mind
Even when he dies.
A man must struggle all through life
But the reward will really show
When his wife looks up and smiles at him,
And says " I love you so!"
This life is waiting just for you
If you will doyour part.
Be honest, true, and you will find
A place within my heart.
Toward the man she loved so dear
Fades in outward signs she shows
In these trying, awkward years.
Eternally the embers glow
Inside a soul so dead
Though outwardly the body's cold
Where once the love did tread.
It only takes a little spark
To set this love on fire,
But I cannot sit back and wait
For what my heart deires.
I wish you could break down the wall
And share your love with me,
For I would gladly promise you
My love eternally.
If you ever hope to be a man
And have a loving wife,
You must be truthful with yourself
And lead an honest life.
A coward builds his life around
Dishonesty and lies
He never knows true peace of mind
Even when he dies.

But the reward will really show
When his wife looks up and smiles at him,
And says " I love you so!"
This life is waiting just for you
If you will doyour part.
Be honest, true, and you will find
A place within my heart.
