""WORRY""
When everything seems dismal
And you don’t know what to do,
Why not start to worry -
To help to get you through?
Worry ‘cause your pay is small
And you cannot make ends meet.
Worry ‘bout the clothes you wear,
And the shoes upon your feet.
Worry - what if you lose your job,
Or they repossess your car?
Worry if you’re playing golf.
What if you don’t make par?
What if it rains the day you plan
A backyard barbecue?
What if you cannot pay a bill
The day that it is due?
What if you fall and break a leg,
Or your roof comes caving in?
What if you’re late for work today?
Is that a mortal sin?
You worry ‘bout this, you worry ‘bout that,
Has worrying made things right?
Hasn’t it caused you stressful days
And cost you sleep at night?
How many times has worry
Helped to get you through,
And made you feel contented
In everything you do?
I have the answer for you
As you can plainly see,
Worry has just broken you down
And brought you misery.
There is a great solution.
Of this you can be sure -
Turn your worries over to God
His help I can assure.
He takes your worries from you
And gives you peace of mind.
His actions are so loving,
So gentle, and so kind.
So cast your burdens on the Lord
And carry them no more.
And you will find that the peace you crave
Will be yours forevermore.
