"Our Trucker"
I'm not too bad tonight,he is far away,in a motel, but allright.
I fight to trust.
I know I must.
He is so tired,
a long day to be admired.
Del Rio is so far away.
I wish he could stay.
I am here
no joint, no beer.
I sit and write
will be a long night.
A great kid as company,
playing music, he shouldnt be.
Asleep I should make him, I know
But there is nowhere tomorrow to go.
So he sings, and I write,
and we'll have a good night.
Until we see his high beams,
we'll only see him in our dreams.
We love him so,
want him to know.
We never want him to go.
He wants something to show.
We know, so he has to go.
