    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this poem, last year, for a friend of mine. Whom I unintentionally hurt. Yes, I am human and I too make mistakes.

    Repentant Heart

     I feel I have no right
    To ask your forgiveness
    And apologizing in words
    Was never good enough for me

    Draw close to me
    And feel my repentant heart beat
    Abrogate my feelings of guilt
    And set free my soul from shame

    Give me one chance
    To breathe new life
    Into what was once
    A dance between two hearts

    So cold and lonely
    Are my days without you
    And I ache to see
    You smile again

    My friend, my love
    Allow me to hold your heart
    In mine once more
    And prove myself worthy of you
