    Sick

We found out you were very sick
not knowing what exactly was wrong
everyone going through all their emotions
and yet trying to stay strong
staying up mid hours of the night
making sure that you are alright
feels like we are all falling apart
someone has taken a dagger through our heart
pleas pull my hair back and brush my teeth
I am trying but can't quite reach
can you please help me to the sink I can hardly move
I hope I am not asking too much of you
weaker and weaker as the days go by
trying once again to stay strong but I am going to break down and cry
giving you meds so you are not in pain
wishing some strength that you would gain
cleaning out your home and putting your things away
it's not easy for us to see you like this each day
all we can do is say a big prayer
and god will answer because he does care
we're at your bed side and this is what you said "if by chance my life tonight might end"
just remember I was more than a mom and a grandma I was your best friend

This one brought tears to my eyes. WOW. It really reminds of what we are going through here w/Grandma. Her wanting so bad to be independant and not wanting to be a burden on anyone. It's so sad. I'm sorry for your loss and yes she's in a much better place.

There are losses we all experience; but that's part of the life we all live. It's the strength we gain from it to live on, that was one of the greatest gifts to give. I am sorry for your loss; but that has come only to be a cliche, just remember they're in a better place, than this shit-hole we're in everyday.

SHE IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE THAN HERE. IT JUST SUCKS WHEN YOU LOOSE PEOPLE WHO MEAN THE WORLD TO YOU. BUT EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT HERE IN PERSON WITH YOU THEY ARE IN SPIRIT ALWAYS WATCHING OVER YA.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
