We Were Best Friends

We Were Best Friends

We were best friend’s at least that is what I believed
Now we are turning into more like enemies

This friendship we had is over and it is your entire fault
You knew what was going on and you kept your mouth shut as tight as a vault

You have two children that you need to look out for
I was the one person who was there but guess what not anymore

Don’t call me, stop by or even ask how am I doing?
Don’t expect me to answer the door or when the phone when it rings

I would defend you to everyone who would say something cruel
Because after all I guess I am just a better friend than you

One day you are going realize a special friend is what you need
Someone who will stand by you and that person would have been me

We were best friend’s at least that is what I believed
But if you were hurt I would stand there and watch you bleed

We are no longer friends now we are enemies
This friendship is over and I am going to leave

This poem is a good expression of relieving your inner feelings Writing is a good form of theraphy I used it a lot when my first husband divorced me Keep expressing yourself it lets other people know how you feel

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
