    Spring Celebration

    Chestnut caps join black caps

    Crows cry out their sound

    The wind gently whispers

    The sun warms the ground


    Pairs of Mourning Doves sit

    On limbs high and low

    Charcoal-grey Juncos land

    On brown grass below


    The red wing sings sweetly

    It calls to its kind

    Robins search intently

    For worms they can find


    Canada Geese fly by

    Aligned into vees

    A knocking woodpecker

    Is heard in the trees


    Nature is awakened

    From its winter resting

    New babes are born

    Mothers are nesting


    The rivers and streams

    Running wild and strong

    Dream of new beginnings

    Sing a springtime song

    There are the Nuthatch, Junco, Titmice, black-capped Chickadee, Feebe, Bell's Vireo and the great variety of finches have brought me many of day of enjoyment as I sat on the porch, with my cup of coffee, and watched them feed in my frontyard. I have some wonder bird pictures over the years and enjoy them so much. Thanks for the memories.

    You have captured well the rebirth of early spring and the enlivening that awakens us in refreshment of spirit! Very wide array of melody and harmony to blend in the symphony of this celebrated season. (I love to write of the offerings of creation, myself)
