IN HIS EYES(L.U.K. 4)
IN HIS EYES, WISDOM LIES,
SO DEEP, IT'S HARD TO SEE.
A HEART OF GOLD, THE STORIES TOLD,
LESSONS HE OFFERED ME.
A FRIENDSHIP TRUE, WHAT TO DO,
SINCE I HAD TO SAY GOODBYE.
A PHOTOGRAPH, A PARAGRAPH,
A TEAR DROP IN MY EYE.
WHAT HE WAS, HE IS,
AND WILL ALWAYS BE.
TRUE AND REAL, THE TRUST I'D FEEL,
HE WAS ALLERGIC TO DISHONESTY.
THROUGH THE YEARS, LAUGHS AND TEARS,
HE BLESSED ME WITH MOSTLY SMILES.
THICK AND THIN, WE'D ALWAYS WIN,
'CAUSE WE WERE TOGETHER THROUGH THOSE MILES.
AND NOW I MIGHT, SIT AND WRITE,
FOR AN EXCUSE TO THINK OF HIM.
THE LOWS, THE HIGHS, THE BATTLE CRIES,
BAD TIMES, THEY WERE SLIM.
HE WILL BE MISSED, MY HEART IS KISSED,
BY A FRIEND, A TRUE FRIEND.
GIVE AND TAKE, THE BOND WONT BREAK,
NOT EVEN AFTER THE END.
GOOD COMES AND GOES, EVERYBODY KNOWS,
AND EVERYONE LIVES AND DIES.
A CHAPTER FOR ME, TO SPRED LOVE WAS HE,
TRUST ME, YOU COULD SEE IT, IN HIS EYES.
