LOST AT SEA
I’m lost at sea I can’t seem to find my bearings
Choking from heat exhaustion seconds from not caring
No matter what heading I steer I’m still off course
Mysteriously looking for a mermaid on a tropical seahorse
Everywhere I stare my surroundings are so rough
Sucked into a hurricane just staying afloat isn’t enough
Tangled feelings tornado through my aquarium mind
Just peaceful and calm waters is all I’m seeking to find
My vessel is nothing more than a rollercoaster of emotion
Vanished in a twisted indecisive rip current of an ocean
I’m like a sailor alone on a life raft waiting for eternity
In total darkness with just the sky water and my destiny
The longer I’m buoyant the more pain I have to endure
I wipe the sweat from by brow and stop thinking impure
I’m stead fast plowing the big swell one after one
At what point and when will this treacherous storm be done
This is an all out battle deploying every tooth and nail
Dangerous fronts have plunged too much wind in my sail
Utterly fatigued I have endured all of this bad weather
Rainbows of light have to prevail for storms don’t last forever
I’m trying to stick this one out through thick and thin
For it’s something I love and don’t want this to ever end
But at what point do you just give up and let what is be
This is my story from being a lost vessel in a vast sea
