JOURNEYS AT SEA
Waves crash, as seas dance across the bow,
Dark blue skies, screams that the abyss is foul
No moonlight, just light and dark shadows,
Arrays of water, causing flickering rainbows,
Abrupt noises, loose objects are scattering,
The fury of the sea, is not very flattering,
Green deckhands, with a hint of pale in the face,
Knee bound, praying for their saving grace,
Howling winds, piercing from up upon high,
Torrential downpours, racing from the sky,
Stomachs are empty, as eyes are tired,
Days seem to pass, crews are hard wired,
Red skies no more, no need for warning,
Early dawn, brings peace to the morning
The storm subsides, no more worlds end,
Once again, the sea is our friend,
Time to time, this comes to be,
Our destination, being journeys at sea.
