REASSURING
Love has been stricken
From every bone
Though, my heart has thickened
I am left all alone
I sit and I stare
Into a blank space
With eyes full of glare
And a frown on thy face
I stand there and wonder
What did I do
I was thrown asunder
Without reason to
Even through the pain
I’m still very tense
There is nothing to gain
From dwelling on the fence
It is always very difficult
To lay it aside
Through all of the guilt
That may damage my pride
But it must be done
I have moved on
My love isn’t gone
For someone surely will come along
