CLEANSING
Tears fall from heaven and sparkle in the street light,
As they cry from the sky, on this cold and lonely night,
Bouncing off of the pavement, the drops take flight,
Standing perched against a post, not a soul in sight,
Water streams down my face, as I stare up upon high,
I am soaked to the flesh, not an ounce of me is dry,
No need to take shelter or even an attempt to try,
I will stand my ground, this cleansing I won't deny,
The puddles gather water quickly, streaming to a drain,
As the clouds release all of their over bearing pain,
Everything's being washed and leaving a watery stain,
No reason to get dry, for there is nothing to gain,
I step into the street with my arms spread out wide,
Allowing the water to wet every inch, no need to hide,
I embrace these tears with my body they collide,
I will follow the rushing rivers acting as my guide,
The heavy sky's part as the rain slowly begins to seize,
I'm quivering head to toe and knocking at the knees,
The wind starts to howl blowing leaves from the trees,
My heart body and soul is now freed from all disease.
