As I look up at the sky I see your face in the moonlight

This keeps my heart warm on those long and cold nights

Your love is my compass to steer me towards salvation

Behind my closed eyes I can see you in my imagination

Thoughts of your touch frolic across my pleading skin

As whispers of your scent leave in the soft angelic wind

I’m looking into your eyes through portals of starlight

Mesmerized by your beauty and undeniable kind heart

With your lips of an angel you are god’s masterpiece of art

Your voice projects honesty never stumbling over white lies

True to yourself in every way I can see it in your faithful eyes

Filled with unconditional joy to the four corners of my being

I wake up to my surprise nothing was real that I’d been seeing

I realize at last that some things in life aren’t what they seem

I will now close my eyes and once again be lost in a dream
