"If Not For You"
If Not For You
Where would I be, if not for You
All these years, that have passed
Could I have survived it through
Would my time, have dwindled, fast
You've been my source of strength
Without You, I would have failed
Before. . . I stumbled, at great length
I moaned, groaned and, wailed
Was it then, you saw and felt pity
For me, a filthy rag, laying there
All alone and lost. . . . In "Sin City"
With death, and woeful sorrow near
For there was no good, within me
Nothing to offer, but hurt and pain
You looked ahead . . . At what could be
Washing me clean, like a morning rain
Oh, Lord . . . If I had never met You
Living each day in a torturous Hell
I Know, I'd not have gotten through
I'd be so dry, with nothing to quell
How I praise You, Shepherd of Israel
You saw me, and overlooked the mess
Loving, with love that is unconditional
Each new sunrise, I feel I'm blessed!
