"Religion"
If your "Religion" hasn't CHANGED your life. . . Then maybe it is time, to think about changing your Religion!
Religion
So, we attend church. . . Every Sunday
Do we feel we are growing, in the LORD
If so, how is it, that we act on Monday
Are our actions, and the WORD . . In one accord?
It is not my place to preach, or judge you.
God knows, I have problems of my own
We walk the straight line, to make it through
While we seek forgiveness, and atone . . .
Some think that if they walk through the doors
Of whatever church, they might choose
They will make it straight to . . . Heaven
Not realizing, what they stand to lose
Jesus said "MANY go the way, they think is right"
They follow Him, with their head, not their heart
Following from our heart is "Precious" in His sight
In the end, we'll be with Him, and not part
Many take the practical way to prayer
They follow all the prim and proper rules
But do they spread love, or show they care
Or, are they caught up in doctrine, like fools
See, I believe God made laws to be broken
If not, there would be no need to repent
We should follow the words ‘Jesus" has spoken
If not. . .Then for what purpose, was He sent
When he comes into our heart, we know
A change takes place, day after day after day
The seeds that have been planted, start to grow
People notice the difference, in what we do and say
We will never be perfect, for there is only one
Who can claim that for His own . .
But IF we ask forgiveness, when day is done
He'll hear us, while He waits at His throne
The thing that matters most, here
Is "Change" . . . Is it happening, in your life
Do you spread your joy, about Jesus and share
Or can the silence be cut . . .With a knife
Yes, if our "Religion" has caused a change
Did we get rid of that sad, and heavy load
Are things different, did we re-arrange
Are we walking, that long narrow road
These are the things, to give thought to
Making sure we go the way that is right
Being sure, that our path is true . . .
And of "Jesus" we don't lose sight

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."
