" The Silence of My Soul "

The Silence of My Soul

In the quiet of the evening
After the day, has taken its toll
I close my eyes and listen
To the silence of my soul

It is so very comforting
As my mind and soul connect
As my thoughts begin sorting
Bringing forth, a calming effect

Then I listen to my heartbeat
As it pumps, so quietly . . .
My mind, my soul and my heart
What comprises . . . most of me

A work of our great "Creator"
Everything is under . . . His rule
The very breath, He breathed
Became the silence of my soul

I must stop here and tell you that I have never been so in awe of so many poems at once. What a wonderful, beautiful soul you have. I started with the " You and I " and haven't stopped yet. Beautifully written, every single one of them. I have a great connection to all that you have written, they have all touched me in one way or the other as I am certain happens to any one that reads. This was the last one to read as I am at one with my soul and found this one to be so perfect that I had to write. I am looking forward to reading more of your work and thank you for sharing such a beautiful gift. Your Friend In Reading' Darlene

Darlene, Thanks so much for your kind comments. I appreciate your input. I write as The Lord, gives me the words. . .I am Inspired by Him, and Him alone. . .I can write a poem every few minutes, and not change a thing. . .I always laugh saying, I am God's secretary. . .He places the thought in my mind. . .I do the typing. Thanks, Blessings. . .Judie P.S. I send out a 'Newsletter' periodically, if you'd like to subscribe. . .

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
