"Seasons of Life"
Seasons of Life
Seasons, like people . . .Come and go
We love and enjoy them while we can
How long that will be, we don't know
Times are allotted to woman, and man
During our lives, there are many changes
Nothing ever seems to stay the same. . .
Fate alters plans, it simply re-arranges
Its part of life, there is no one to blame
In our youth, we are like "Spring"
Growing, budding spreading out. . .
A somewhat fragile and delicate thing
Eagerly we forge ahead, never a doubt
"Summer" brings us well on our way
We've grown. . .Making our way in life
Not dwelling on anything, just the day
Not too bothered with trouble and strife
Then there is the season we call "Fall"
A time when we think of years, past
Things in life changed, too many to recall
We realize that nothing . . .Ever lasts
Winter breezes in, we knew it would
It leaves some cold, and bitter to the bone
Yet we hang on to the memories, or should
Also seeking forgiveness, as we atone. . .
Yes, the seasons in life, we go through
Teach, many lessons, along the way
It's our choice. . .what we say, what we do
And for wisdom and tolerance, we pray
So, whatever the season. . . You are in now
Enjoy people, be loving and spread laughter
You will realize then, the importance in life
And will be remembered . . .Forever after!
