Poem Commentary

Seems EVERYTHING is changing. . .Holiday dates, laws, ideals, oh, so many things. . .Can we adjust, can we keep up?

"Change"

"Change"

Look around, do you feel it
A noticeable . . . Time of change
Some welcome, some "Will It"
To others it seems, so strange

It is something, that simply occurs
Nothing ever stays the same . . .
Like a great whirlwind, that stirs
A part of life . . . A changing game

Each day, brings something new
Styles, Ideas, new inventions . . .
Thoughts emerge, out of the blue
Presented for, the  best intentions

Not everyone appreciate's change
Not wanting things, that aren't sure
So unhappy, with things re-arranged
But. . .They'll never find a cure

For change will always come about
Seasons, laws, weather and such
It doesn't do, to fuss, or shout
For it won't matter, very much

The only one,  we can be sure of
To stay the same, forevermore
With arms wide open, full of love
Is "Jesus" who waits . . . At the door

So, if you want, someone to count on
Never to change, and always care
Turn to Jesus, our wonderful Savior
Who, for us. . .Will always be there.

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life.  I ask you in to my life and heart to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve you always."

You said it, yes, life is full of changes. Great writing, very inspirational. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poems, you might transport some of your inspiration into my writing. I am looking forward to it. Susan

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
